COVID-19 Cover is now available on all of our policies! Find out more here.
As life slowly returns to normal and many of us begin to plan our next getaway, our thoughts may turn to travel insurance and what protection this can offer our trips amid the coronavirus outbreak.
At Spectrum, we want to reassure our customers that their health is our first priority. That’s why all of our policies are designed to cover you, should you fall ill with the coronavirus during your trip and require emergency medical assistance. Our policies also provide repatriation cover, so that should it be medically necessary for you to come home, we’ll arrange that too.
But think back to before COVID-19 existed. You still needed protection for all other elements of your trip, including delayed departure, trip cancellation and cover for personal possessions. Well, you’re in luck because all of our policies include this cover too! So, you can travel abroad knowing that you’re fully protected against the unexpected.
Like most other insurance policies, customers won’t be able to submit a claim for any other reasons related to the coronavirus, such as cancellation, curtailment, or abandonment as the coronavirus is now classed as a ‘known event’. However, we may be able to change your single trip travel insurance cover dates if you are able to re-book your trip to a later date.
